Friday night I made it to Nate's track and field sectionals meet. It was exciting to have his 4x400 relay team make it first in sectionals and next weekend we'll be headed to the state meet to watch his boys run!
Saturday we drove to Detroit for Nate's best friend's birthday dinner. I love not having to drive and it gave me a chance to catch up on my magazine stack. Dinner was at The Whitney and not only was the food amazing, but the historic house was stunning. I was mesmerized by the Tiffany chandeliers and the Tiffany stained glass windows.
We left Sunday afternoon but not before stopping to pick up some Hungry Howies pizza for the road. We don't have them in Chicago and it's our favorite! I think it's the flavored crust that makes all the difference.
It was a short weekend, but it was nice to spend time with Nate and catch up during the car ride. He's been so busy with coaching that we haven't had too much time together the past few months.
That was my weekend. Hopefully this week will pass by quickly because Memorial Day is next week and that means a long weekend off.
Linking up with Sami and Leeann.
